# Your first task

> The end-to-end path from a draft to a pull request.

1. Press **“Add task”** and describe it in the draft; attach files if needed.
2. Press **“Send for refinement”** — the formulation starts.
3. Answer the analyst’s **clarifications**.
4. **Approve the formulation** (or send it back for rework).
5. The task is **decomposed** into atoms automatically — follow it on the **[Execution scheme](/en/docs/pipeline/execution-scheme)**.
6. When it is ready, the task moves to **[Review](/en/docs/review)**: look through the changes and the findings.
7. Add an upstream access token in [Settings](/en/docs/settings) (a repository connected through the [connector](/en/docs/connector) needs no token) and press **“Approve”** — Buff opens a pull request in your repository.
