Mobile app

# Decisions don’t wait for the computer — *Buff on your phone*

Approve a task, answer the agent, allow a command in Buff Code, ask about documents — from an iPhone or Android. The app tells you when something is waiting for you and opens the right screen.

Objection 01

## “The agent is waiting for a decision, and you are away from the computer”

A brief is waiting for approval, and the agent on the laptop has stopped at a permission request.

### Answer, approve, allow — from the phone

Everything that needs your word takes two taps: the decision goes to the installation at once, and the work goes on while you are travelling or in a meeting.

#### Approve and accept

A task brief, a clarifying question, a review of a change — a decision from the phone goes into the work at once, and the pipeline does not stall.

#### Answer the Buff Code agent

The agent on your machine asks for permission to run a command or has asked a question — answer from the phone, and it carries on.

#### Ask about the project and documents

A new question — with a photo or a file attached; the answer with links to its sources arrives as a notification.

#### Everything waiting for you, on one screen

“Needs attention” gathers the decisions from every connected installation: the cloud, the company server, a laptop.

Objection 02

## “You learn the answer is ready only when you open the workspace”

And it was ready an hour ago.

### A notification — when something is waiting for you

The app reports events even when it is closed, and a tap opens the task, thread or session. You choose which events arrive for each installation.

- An answer to a question or research is ready
- A brief is waiting for approval, a change for review
- The Buff Code agent is waiting for permission, has asked a question or has finished its turn
- A failure that needs attention

Objection 03

## “Work happens in different places”

An organisation in the cloud, the company server, your own laptop with Buff Code.

### One app — all your installations

Connect an organisation on buff.systems, a Buff Community or Enterprise installation and Buff Code on your computer, all at once. The home screen shows all of them with their connection status, and under them what is waiting for you in each.

Objection 04

## “A phone must not get into the internal network”

And rightly so.

### The phone does not go into your network, and the gateway does not read messages

The phone and the installation meet at the buff.systems gateway and talk in a cipher whose keys only they hold. The installation does not need to open up to the outside, and buff.systems does not see the content.

- The phone and the installation encrypt every message with keys only they hold. The buff.systems gateway passes on the envelopes and cannot open them.
- Pairing is confirmed on the computer — by matching six digits or with a QR code whose secret never goes to the server.
- The phone gets the rights of the person who paired it — no more. There is no workspace password on the phone.
- The installation needs no open ports to the outside: the phone and the installation meet at the gateway.
- A lost phone is cut off from the workspace in a minute; the installation’s data is wiped from it.
- The organisation owner or an administrator decides who may pair phones and sees all paired ones.

Objection 05

## “Is pairing difficult?”

A minute.

### Three steps, and the phone is connected

The phone is paired from the workspace or Buff Code you already use; there is no separate account.

*1*

#### Install the app

From the App Store, Google Play, RuStore or AppGallery — or an APK from GitHub. There is no need to register in the app.

*2*

#### Open “Settings → Phone”

In the workspace — for the organisation or the company installation; in Buff Code — in the window or with the /phone command.

*3*

#### Scan the QR code

Or enter the link and the code. Confirm the phone on the computer — and it is connected.

Other questions

## What people ask about the app

### Do I need to pay for the app?

No. The app is one more way to work in your organisation; usage, as in the workspace, is charged under the organisation’s plan.

### Which installations does it work with?

With an organisation on buff.systems, with your company’s Buff Community and Enterprise installations (they need outbound access to buff.systems) and with Buff Code on your computer — with all of them at once.

### What does buff.systems see?

That the phone is paired with an installation, when messages go and how large they are, and the address for delivering notifications. The content — tasks, code, answers, notification text — it does not see: it is encrypted for the phone and the installation.

### What happens without internet?

Screens open with what the app saw last and show how old that state is. Actions turn on when the connection returns — the app does not queue decisions “for later”.

### Can we forbid phones in the company?

Yes. The organisation owner on buff.systems forbids them in the workspace settings; in Buff Community and Enterprise the administrator sets who may pair phones and whether push notifications are sent.

### I lost my phone — what do I do?

Disconnect it in the workspace (“Settings → Phone → My phones”) or ask an administrator: access ends at once, and the installation’s data is wiped from the phone as soon as it is online.

Where to start

## Pair your phone with the workspace and answer the agent’s first question on the go

You need a workspace on buff.systems, your company’s installation or Buff Code on your computer. Pairing is in “Settings → Phone”.
