Pricing

# Pay for work done — *not for licences and seats*

In the cloud, you pay for completed work, in roubles, deducted from your balance: the plan determines what the AI runs on, and the price is per token. On your own side, there is the free Community Edition or Enterprise on-premise with a licence per organisation.

[Connect a repository](https://buff.systems/app) [See the demo](https://buff.systems/en/demo) [Choose a plan](https://buff.systems/en/pricing#plans) Only what you have paid in is charged; work already started can take the balance slightly below zero, and the next top-up covers the difference

**₽** payment and balance in roubles, no VAT (simplified tax system, Article 145 of the Russian Tax Code): by card or bank transfer, with closing documents

**0 ₽** for adding people: pay for work done, not for seats

**At once** a new plan applies from the moment you switch; charges already made stay at the old price

**Stop** a task can be stopped and resumed later: finished parts are not charged again, and the interrupted part runs again

Two plans in the cloud and two editions on your own side

## You choose what the AI runs on

Plan 01

### OpenRouter (Balanced models)

We choose the models: balanced for quality and price. Nothing to set up. Requests and the material read for an answer go through OpenRouter to third-party model providers outside Russia.

- **Input**: 28 ₽ / 1M tokens
- **Output**: 56 ₽ / 1M tokens

Plan 02

### OpenRouter (your choice of model)

You choose the model — separately for development, questions and research. Requests and the material read for an answer go through OpenRouter to third-party model providers outside Russia.

The price depends on the model you choose and is shown when you choose it in the app.

Edition CE

### Community Edition

**0 ₽** free, on your own machine

One organisation, three users, up to 15 developments at once, your model. Installed with one command on Linux, macOS or Windows; it registers with buff.systems and runs indefinitely.

Edition EE

### Enterprise on-premise

**250,000 ₽** per month, licence per organisation

Installed on your side: no limits on people or runners, single sign-on, audit, several organisations, an air-gapped network, support. The model is yours. The one limit is the licence per organisation.

The plan applies to the whole organisation. The owner can change it in the app when nothing is running.

How it’s counted 01

## What the price is made of

One item of spending, visible before you start: model tokens, input and output priced separately.

### Tokens — in roubles per million, input and output priced separately

On plan 01 the price is fixed and does not depend on the model — we choose it. On plan 02 the price depends on the model you choose and is shown when you choose it in the app. Editions on your own side do not count tokens: the model and its key are yours.

#### A question about documents

The AI agent reads the pages and files it needs and writes an answer; the price of the question — what was read plus what was written — is shown in the conversation right after the answer.

#### Research

Costs more than a question: the analyst reads more and writes a document, and the reviewer rereads the sources. Spending is shown as the work goes, and research can be stopped.

#### Knowledge base

Entries the AI agent makes after questions and research are separate spending lines with the “knowledge” type of work.

#### Who pays

One balance and one plan per organisation; the organisation owner sees spending for every space and project in the billing history.

#### For reference

Department questions in the demo workspace cost from 0.3 to 4 ₽ on the balanced plan, usually 1–2 ₽; research costs more — spending is shown as the work goes, and there is no estimate before the start.

## You can see where the money went

An open-ended meter is only frightening when you cannot see it. Here every rouble is visible.

### Spending by task and stage, with export to a file

Each charge shows the task, type of work, phase, amount and the plan it was charged under. A plan change appears in the history as a separate line, and charges already made are not recalculated after the fact.

## A department without code pays by the same rules

A question about documents and a piece of research are the same AI agent work as a development task: what is read and what is written.

### A question, research, a knowledge base entry — by the volume of what is read and written

There is one plan per organisation: support, sales and legal ask questions from the same balance as development. Tokens are the volume of text the AI agent has read and written; each question in a conversation shows its price in roubles, and each piece of research shows spending as it goes. Adding staff costs nothing: you pay for the work, not for seats.

Questions about payment

## What people ask next

### Can I change plan in the middle of work?

The organisation owner can change the plan when nothing is running: while tasks, conversations or research are in progress, the window shows exactly what is in the way. The new plan applies at once, and charges already made stay at the old price.

### Why does the “your choice of model” plan have no price?

The price depends on the model you choose and is shown right when you choose it — in roubles per million tokens, input and output separately. Giving a price for a model nobody has chosen would mean giving the wrong one.

### What happens when the balance runs out?

No new work starts on a zero balance. Work already started can take the balance slightly below zero — the difference is covered by the next top-up, and we do not collect it separately. Dedicated capacity is switched off in advance, before zero; task execution stops and continues after a top-up: finished parts are not charged again.

### Is a request for a plan already a connection?

No. A request starts a conversation: we reply by email, discuss the terms, and only then is the plan assigned. A submitted form does not by itself change the price for the organisation.

### Is there a starter balance?

Yes, to get to know the product: you can ask questions about code or documents before your first payment.

### How is spending broken down by task?

In the billing history, each operation shows the task, type of work, phase, amount and the plan it was charged under; you can export it to a file.

### Is the mobile app paid for separately?

No. The iPhone and Android app is free and needs no separate plan: a question, research or task started from a phone is billed under the organisation’s plan, just as from the workspace. Connecting phones and viewing are free.

The first step changes nothing in your code or your documents

## Start with the starter balance

Connect a repository and ask how your code works — or create a knowledge space and ask about your documents: the AI agent reads and answers in minutes without changing anything. You will see the price of your very first question in the conversation.
