Download the connector
The connector is a small self-contained agent you run in your own network. It connects your git server to the Buff platform — including when git is unreachable from the internet — without giving us access tokens. Integrations with trackers and knowledge sources are installed into it too.
Why you need it
Your git connected — without direct access and without your tokens
More in the connector documentation. Here are the essentials.
Git behind a firewall
GitLab / GitHub Enterprise / Gitea / Bitbucket Server in the internal network — the connector reaches it from inside and carries repositories to us and back.
Tokens stay with you
Even for cloud git you need not give us access tokens: they are stored in the agent, in your network, and never reach us.
Outbound only
The agent only calls out to the Buff relay — nothing connects into your network, except in two cases that arrive only by webhook: GitLab commit comments, and Figma when its connection lists neither files nor projects. It touches git only for a task.
Binaries
Choose your OS and architecture
A single self-contained executable. Install it on any machine in your network with access to the git server and outbound internet access. The binary needs git installed; integrations need Linux, root (or CAP_SETUID) and Python 3.11+, because each one runs as a separate process under its own OS user.
Authenticity check
Check the checksum and the signature before running
All artefacts come with checksums and are signed with cosign. Each binary has its .sig file next to it.
# 1. Checksums
sha256sum -c SHA256SUMS --ignore-missing
# 2. cosign signature (with the public key cosign.pub)
cosign verify-blob --key cosign.pub \
--signature connector-linux-amd64.sig connector-linux-amd64
# 3. Installation
chmod +x connector-linux-amd64 && sudo mv connector-linux-amd64 /usr/local/bin/connectorThere is also a Docker image (amd64/arm64):docker pull ghcr.io/buffsystems/buff-connector(mirror — registry.buff.systems/buff/connector)more →

Buff Code · 2.0.11-buff.36
An agent in your project folder — under your control
An app and a console on your organisation’s models, knowledge and tools: every edit is visible, large tasks follow a plan, checks run on a schedule. It signs in through the company connector; there is no separate plan.
Console
Linux, macOS and Windows (Git Bash) — with one command. The script picks the build and verifies the checksum itself.
curl -fsSL https://buff.systems/install | bashMobile app
Decisions don’t wait for the computer
Buff for iPhone and Android: approve a task, answer the agent, allow a command in Buff Code, ask about documents — with notifications and end-to-end encryption. It connects to an organisation on buff.systems, to the company installation and to Buff Code — from “Settings → Phone”.
Next: setup
How to connect the connector
Downloaded the agent? Link it to your organisation in the Buff app and set the provider, token and repositories.
Installation
Signature check and launch — a binary or Docker.
OpenSetup in the web interface
A local page in the browser — provider, token, repositories.
OpenSetup in the terminal
A text wizard for servers without a GUI.
OpenIntegrations
Trackers, knowledge sources (Confluence, Notion, Google Drive, Figma, files and network folders), the internet and your own MCP servers — installed into a running connector.
