Review and publishing
Publishing upstream
Opening a pull request / merge request in the source repository.
After approval, Buff publishes the changes upstream.
- For each changed module the provider is shown (GitHub PR / GitLab MR / Bitbucket PR / Gitea PR — Forgejo is shown as Gitea) along with the upstream.
- Access is pre-checked; if a token is missing, there is a link to Settings.
- For repositories connected through the connector (self-hosted git behind a firewall), the PR/MR is opened by the agent in your network — the access token stays with you and is not stored by us.
- You can choose the target branch.
The “Approve and create PR/MR” button opens a pull request / merge request in your repositories; our temporary PRs are closed at the same time. You do the merge.
